Default Spare Tire

Does anyone know where i can find a factory 03-04 interior spare tire bracket mount. I just sold my H3 for an H2 and it is missing the tubular bracket. he gave me the jack and spare at least. The owner had a predator swing gate carrier but wanted to sell it to me for 900 bucks. I said no thank you. any help would be awsome.

Try the local Craigslist ads. I have seen several for sale. Good Luck.

You were right to pass on the external carrier for $900. The only place he is going to get that much is in his dreams. I paid $300 for mine, found it on Craigslist.

I still have my internal carrier and tire cover if you happen to be near Vegas. I'll sell it to you. PM me if interested.

Do yourself a favor and mount that tire on the outside. I added the outside one to my 2003 and it was so much nicer. I had to get that spare out of the rear of the truck. My 2006 came with a pretty nice setup for the spare outside as well! I would pull all of that stuff from the outside and mount that spare outside. You will love it!

One more thing, besides gaining all the room the tire takes up you no longer have to put up with the rubber smell from the tire. The wife was very happy with the smell gone.

Thanks, I hadnt thought about the tire smelling like a tire. I guess i should just find an outside swing carrier from a newer one. I bought my H2 and an engagement ring this month! so money is a little tight if you can imagine for a little while. I feel like a girl without her mace, while driving around without a spare .

One more comment, when you remove the inside tire carrier the jack will no longer have the upper support. But you can go to Home Depot and buy a bracket that can be quickly modified into an upper support. Look in the section where the framing brackets are at. A little cutting, a little spray paint and you are good to go.
