simple bottom line,
a $40000 truck,+$5000 in add on gadgets, use $1000 in gas going 5000 miles,,,and chintz on the one thing that keeps it alive,6 qts of ahl.

temp???, in the vast majority of engine run time the temp is determined by the thermostat. they run em hot for a reason. its ez to go cooler, get an old 160 deg. thermo,,,or leave it out. i still dont get the them connection. they run better hotter

Agreeing with you as well....I think we got a bit off topic and from a personal standpoint I have had great success with mileage with Amsoil much better than M1 but it too could be my driving habits....

Any of you seen a good old fashioned "engine blow" at a car show or drag race? The type where they drain the oil and see how long an engine will run. The last one i saw was at a VW show and that little 1800 cc ran a solid 8 minutes at about 3000 rpm before it blew. Watching an intentional "engine blow" is kind of interesting one time around if you happen upon one.
