Default Sirius Radio vs XM

I've got the XM Monsoon radio package but I prefer the Sirius program line-up. I'm a big NASCAR and Sirius has a station dedicated to NASCR only.

Would I have to install a brand new radio for Sirius? I would lose the Monsoon amp but keep the speakers? What might that cost?

I bought the Sportster 4 radio so that I could listen to Sirius in the H, at home and on the beach. Works great.

Doesn't that clip to the dash-top or somewhere? Can't I get a radio with it built in? I don't like the dash-top stuff like the Tom-Tom Navs etc.

I don't have mine on the dash, I have a mount with a shaft that goes in the ciggerette lighter. They do make a sirius radio that replaces the XM but like I said, I like to listen to it other places besides my Hummer.

I bought a Sirius connect unit that mounts under the dash and converts your XM head unit to Sirius. Much better sound then the FM modulated sirius units since it is hard wired into your radio.

He is right get the converter mod to make Sirius work with the factory radio. I have the sirius 550, I think. I like it because it stores hours of mp3 or stored sirius broadcasts then pop it out and use at home or on a walk but thefm mod is not as clear as cd or broadcast radio.

Same here. I'm a big NASCAR fan. XM has a sport channel but it's not dedicated to NASCAR. Some how I'm gonna convert to Sirius. I'm communicating with them now.
