Default seats and back problems?

I have had my H3 since July 11th and ever since then my back has been giving me problems. I have a sensitive back to begin with but it is in terrible shape now. I hope don't have to get rid of my H3, cause I really love it. Any one else having these problems? Any suggestions? Do they make a Temprepedic seat cover....LOL?

Gerry, I too have a screwed up back but I can drive for miles and miles in the Hummer. Once the lumbar support and seat position were adjusted I had no need for the portable back/lumbar support which I'd used in previous vehicles. I love the ride!

I agree.

Fiddle with the lumbar support some.

If you have heated seats, consider using them even if you're not cold.

I use to get some lower back pain also at times in the H3...I put a seat cover with a lumbar support built in and this took away the problem. I got the seat cover originally to protect the seat from fraying but noticed the difference immediatley. Pep Boy's has them and they are not that expensive, alot cheaper than getting rid of the H3............

My back is fine, but the seats aren't that comfy. It took a few weeks to get use to it.

I had my back problems long before I got my H3.

I have the cloth seats and they sit very flat and the “lumbar†support is too high (Why can’t the American manufactures figure out that lumbar support should be positioned for the lumbar region of the spine, not the thoracic?)

I haven’t made any long trips yet, but I’m not expecting it to be pleasant.

I have a Recaro seat that I will be putting in, but I’m going to have to have the mounting bracket custom made (unless somebody knows if the slider in the H3 is used in another vehicle that they may have brackets designed for).

You may want to try folding up a small hand towel to put behind your lower back on longer drives.

My wife also said she's uncomfortable with the seats when I asked her about it.

I recently did a 1500 mile trip to Savannah and had no problem with the seats. The lumbar brace of course is set for the average person..but we are all different in size and stature. I wonder if my leather recliner would fit in my H3
