Default seafoam treatment

Hello all, I was curious as to how effective the seafoam engine treatment is?
Also, do you recommend techron chevron treatment?

I have a 2006 H3 with 64,500 miles and this spring I plan to change the spark plugs, clean the throttle body and maf, as well as change the front driver's side cv seal.

My 3 has treated me fairly decent, considering it's the plagued 06 model. So far I have only had to replace the radiator and relay harness for the blower motor, clean the front drain tubes, and routine maintenance.

It is effective at removing cash from your wallet, not much more.

If you use quality fuel all the time, not the off brand cheap stuff, you do not need to blow $$ on pour it in your tank fix it all pipe dreams.

Thanks for the input.

For the first 3 years of ownership, I filled the tank on base, "aafes fuel station", so who knows what quality it was. I'll just assume it wasn't too bad, since she runs very well.

I run sea foam in the tank probably twice a year....I haven't done a top end cleaning with it on my hummer. Did it on my old camaro, not sure it did anything.

Chevron Techron is the same formula that GM sells re-labeled as their Delco name brand fuel system cleaner.

If you aren't the original owner and can't verify if your vehicle has used nothing but top-tier fuel since new, then at 9 bucks it is an inexpensive way to ensure your fuel system and injectors are as clean as they should be.

I bought it when it was 2 years old, one owner prior to myself. Appeared to be in excellant condition. I might buy the cleaner just to be sure.
Next to do is the transmission and differential fluid. Ohh boy.

While I try to keep my tank above 1/4, every once in a while I'm running low and in a hurry so I'll stop by the local Maverick - it's like a 7-11 or circle-k type place, convenience store and some kind of lower grade gas. Last tank I did that there was a noticeable loss of power merging onto the highway. Next tank I filled up with Chevron like I always try to do and the power is back. Could be the additives, could be a different amount of ethanol, I don't know.

I have used the seafoam stuff in the past, and contrary to what Doc says it made a big difference. This wasn't in a Hummer though, it was a turbo 4-cyl with around 100k miles that I had only owned for a couple months.

I plan to run a bottle of Techron gas treatment through my tank then stick to Chevron in the future. I'm sure any Top Tear gas will do the same.
