for me its like seeing a rare bird!!,i think its only the second or third "one" ive seen live.
it was? metalic gray,looked absolutly new, a beautiful sight, a dream machine.
anybody who doesnt appreciate what is sitting there on 4,(big) wheels is just out of touch...

 

I've only seen 1 h1 since taking ownership of my h2...I was totally siked like a kid seeing a superhero...lol

 

I have wanted an H1 since I was about 8. Then 20 years later I finally got one. I have had it about a year and a half now and whenever I walk outside I can't help but look at it. I wonder if I can be cremated(spelling) in my H1?

 

I as well have only seen one. Did anyone see the video on You Tube where the guy went through the river and the Hummer was totally submerged... Awesome sight to behold there.....

 

I've had the pleasure of wheeling with several 1's in the past few years. My favorite has to be when I had my 3 and I did a trail run with the Canadians outside of Calgary and Harold (2N3RNFG is his plate, you can decode it!) ran his 06 Alpha thru the mud and wilderness.
Then I went back 2 years later with my deuce and Harold brought out his Alpha again and I got to run with him and another 1 plus a bunch of 2's.
How cool is it when a guy with a $150K H1 puts it in the mud and runs with everyone else??
BTW--my wife was up the street the other day at the grocery store and called me to bring the deuce up as there was a 1 in the parking lot. We got some cool pics, though it was dark.
I think the biggest thing driving me to get a 1 is how unique they are and how you don't see them out and about very much at all--well unless you're in Phoenix and everybody has one!

 

Quite a few in SoCal. I have been lots of places where the reaction I get leads me to believe they don't see many there.

 

cool thread so far, ive never seen one that was an army based h1. it is hard enough seeing h2's and h3's up in my neck of WI and MI's Upper peninsula.

Where we lived in Utah, I didn't see many 2's and rarely a 1 unless we headed south into Salt Lake City and the 2's were a little more common.
Here in Florida, there are alot of different 2's driving around town, we've even seen some Special Editions, which seem to be really rare; we've seen both the Glacier Blue SUV & SUT--which is almost like seeing a ghost.
Only seen 1 really nice black 2 door H1 truck pulling a boat and the 4 door wagon H1 up the road since we've been here.
My daughters are into looking for HUMMER's now, I'll get sighting reports from them when they are out and about, and they're only 10 & 13!
