Default Rod Hall shocks for H2

available now through Winkle Hummer in Reno, NV. built exclusively for Rod Hall racing.

2.5” monotube main shock canister, with external reservoir
>500 degree operating range, for consistent dampening over long stretches of rough terrain
Larger piston for better dampening
Rebuildable design
Carbon seal and wiper to withstand higher shock temperatures
Smooth-bore seamless alloy body
Cad designed pistons – high flow, low cavitation/tunable velocity sensitive valving, hard anodized aluminum
Teflon lined heat treated alloy steel spherical bearings
Shafts are hardened 17-4 stainless steel 7/8” hard chromed
Billet aluminum body caps/eyelets
Clear cadmium body plating (chrome option)
Can be run at any angle
Nitrogen gas pressurized to 200 PSI

Mmerry Christmas buddy, keep the cigars away from the tree, i watched one burn up on mythbusters. i'll come back and post how well the shocks work out, assuming it stops raining and i can get them on some time sooon.

Those look pretty easy to install..do you hook an on boardcompressor system to them to be able to change the ride on the fly?

I'd love to toss a set of those (or King's)on my truck.

What's thedifferencebetween those and theother 2.5's Fox Shox?
The specs look to be almost identical.

they may look easy to install, but the front ones were a beeyotch supreme. i disconnected the front sway bar in order to let the tire drop as far as it would go, but the top of the shock still wouldn't go through the frame mount. charged to 200 psi, i'm not heavy enough to compress them like i could with the shocks i took off. i had to use a clamp from my woodshop to compress them, use wire to hold them there, reset the clamp and compress them some more, re-tighten the wire again, then they fit just fine. kind of a beeyotch getting the wire out once the top mount was in place, but once they un-compressed they fit perfectly - which tells me they're a perfect fit to limit front wheel travel. the first one took me almost an hour and a half to figure out how to get it in, the other front went in about 30 minutes. the rears were a piece of cake, i just had to lift the frame to the shock length.

the "air" connectors on them are for maintenance/recharging

mounted. and before you say anything, yes, it's filthy and rusty underneath, but strong enough to make sure i get home.

i already noticed a difference on the street. not quite a "caddy" type ride, but not nearly as stiff as you'd expect from an offroad shock. the bigger pistons help with the dampening quite a bit for street driving, i like them better than the broke-***-POS bilstein's i had on, even when the bilstein's were new.
