Default Rock chips on Front of Rear flare

One thing i wish i could stop is all the rock chip marks that develop on the frontof the rear painted fender flare. We putmudflaps on within 2 weeks of purchase cause we got a few right away but even with those the problemcontinues (had the H3for 1.5 years) ...Any help or suggestions out there???

Would the fender flare extensions help?

We ride on alot of dirt and gravel roads around here, and then the paved roads here get cinders spread on them during winter for traction so maybe it is just unavoidable.

Nevermind folks...it was talked about before and I read the discussion that came up in the related topics section. Guess i will change the name from "rock chips" to "vehicle Character"....and just live with them.

What I'm going to do is have the clear paint protection put on there, like the 3M stuff.
I have it on one of my other cars and I like it.
My wife has it on the back bumper of her car, she backed into a light post and I thought that was it for the bumper cover and it would need to be replaced. The guy came over to take the plastic off and there was no damage to the rear bumper cover at all.

Could you post a picture of the chips? I picked up an '09 two weeks ago and ordered the mud flaps yesterday. I haven't noticed and chips yet, but thedoorsall the way up to the handles get covered with sandand salt from thesnow plows/spreaders. I'm thinking of getting that 3M plastic film as well.

Thanks,

Scott

Either the 3m stuff or something that would look more ruggedlike thegrip tape they use on skateboard decks.

Other folks haveLineX'd the flares with good results, but if it's a lease you'll get to buy new flares and have 'em painted when you get ready to turn it back in.
