do you have to bake open the stock headlights to get the projector or do they sell them with the housing?

You can try to bake the lights but I suggest using a heat gun. GM used a very strong epoxy type of sealant.

If you want lights with the projectors in them already check out Starr lighting.

No, these are custom sets i made myself with parts that I sourced on my own.

I dont think the STARR kit is worth $999 IMO

Your right, they are not cheap. I bought mine years ago and they were over $100.00 less.
About a year ago I joined another web site, HIDplanet and they talk exclusively about the baking open of stock halogen headlights and the installing of aftermarket projection HID's.
Some people have good luck, but others end up destroying their headlight housing through this baking or heat gun process and others complain about bad beam alignment and tripping codes in their cars and leaking headlight housings after reassembly and fogging of the interior housings.
That seems like a big gamble/hassle to me.

I also ended up selling both my stock halogen housings to a guy here in town that had broken both of his in a small accident.
He paid me $400.00.

I agree with Wfturner, I've had mine for 3-4 months now and they are definitely the way to go. I bought mine from a custom shop in MN for $949 shipped. They look and perform awesome as well. They aren't cheap, but they are a great quality product.

Wfturner has pics of his, check them out. If anybody is on edge about them, I would highly suggest them. I'll be listing them on my build thread within a few days with pics. I've been lazy lately.
