First, it might temporarily turn the light off, at best.
Second, it does nothing for any stored code.

Since disconnecting power does nothing to the data stored by the PCM from the last 300 ignition cycles (it is flash based and independent of power), if the condition that triggered the light continues, the CEL will be on again.

wouldn't that also screw things up and possibly make a problem worse if a new problem was to occur while the fuse was out?
the only possible benefit would be @safety inspection time

Taking the fuses out, and then re-installing them (in the correct location) while the ruck is not running won't cause any issue. I would not play with the fuses while the truck is running.

Really, now that I look at the title of the YT Video, it is correct that the light may turn off for a while.
However, it did not reset anything so maybe the thread title is not so good???

Thanks for setting the record straight on that Doc I know guys have disconnected their battery cables to knock that light out. I was told they do that @safety inspection time cause the garage will scan it then charge you $35 for the scan. They may be able to knock the idiot light out but there still an idiot....just get the problem fixed before you go to the inspection station
