Default Replacement spare wheel mount for off-set wheels

New H3 owner here... Just put some ProComp 20" wheels on the ride... Chose some wheels with a slight offset to stick the wheel/tire outside of the wheel well a bit. It looks cool on the road, but the spare sticks out further than I'd like. I hadn't thought of that until I saw it. It's only 2" or so, but in my garage, 2" is precious real estate.

Does anyone make a replacement spare wheel mount that would bring the wheel in closer to the body again to account for the off-set?

i think you will have to see a fabricator to modify the one you have or make a new one. might be something to mass produce????

My new wheels hang out of the fenderwells very slightly, and therefore the rear one does too. I noticed it, but..doesn't bother me too much. I would like to know if you find anything, i never have run across anything myself.

When I get my new wheels (hopefully before winter gets full swing), I will probably be looking to do the same as I'm looking for some offset but dont have 2" in my garage to spare
If I fab one up, I'll see if I can make a few extra

The guys at 4WheelParts said that they make something like this for Jeeps but they hadn't seen on for H3's. I can't imagine it's that big of a deal...maybe there's just not enough demand to make them in quantity?

You can always buy your spare with a different offset to be used as a spare only

Give it some time. You'll get used to it.

I did.

When I got my new ProComp 6079's, that bugged me a bit as well....Now I don;t even notice it

I'd need to keep an original mount so I can replace the OEM setup when the lease is over. I guess I could check with the Hummer parts guys to see how much the original is (to make sure they don't charge some rediculous amount for a piece of stamped steel).

Thanks for the suggetion/offer, I'll look into the replacement cost so I know what I'm getting into here.
