Just bought an '06..Do not have original key code..and nearest dealer is 75 miles. Can any good locksmith duplicate mine ?..Thanks..j

 

Ya, its just a generic chevy truck key. As long as you have one he can copy, shouldn't be a problem

 

i went to ace. they looked up the blank # and cut 2,,,they didnt fit!!

then we looked close at the blanks and found the RIGHT one, not the # listed.

they work fine, probably cheaper than dealer,,,

btw i cracked off that big chunk of plastic so i could put one in my wallet without getting a sore xxx.

When I was picking up my H3 a couple years ago, it only came with one key so I figured I better get a spare while I was there (bought it used from a Hummer dealer). Went back to the parts room and asked for an H3 key. The guy behind the counter said "$58 bucks." "Really?", I said, "Does it have a chip in it?" "Nope, but it does have the H3 logo on it." "Want a key with the chevy logo on it?" "I guess...How much is that one?" "$6 BUCKS!" I couldn't believe it.

So the hummers dont have chips in the keys?? My dodge was a pain in the *** for that cause the chips kept goin out on me.
