Default Replace h3 sunroof gasket

Has anyone removed the sunroof to replace the gasket? It is a simple as it looks where it's just removing 4 bolts? Thanks.

I don't know why you're replacing the seal, but keep in mind their design intent is to keep out debris, reduce water intrusion and cut wind noise, not be water tight. That's why there are drain tubes.

Replacing the seal because mine has a small tear in it, letting water come in thru the dome light under heavy rain and the drain tubes can't handle the load.

Would you mind if I ask from where you got it and how to change it...? as mine also got few tears on it.
Thanks.

Nelly, as painful as it was, I got it from the dealership. I haven't changed it yet, so no real advice on the best way to go. 4 screws hold the glass frame to the track rails, so I am going to remove those and put the gasket on the glass while it is off the vehicle.

Good luck!

the service manual is fussy about the spacing of the panel so be careful getting it back in place.
it says front,.020 below the roof metal, the back, .020 above!
must be for air/water flow??

how does the rubber attach?
