Default reclining rear seats

I found some brackets for reclining rear seats for an H2 on Ebay, and i bought them. The seller was Fukushin, i think, and they cost just under 300 bucks.

I got around to installing them late on Sunday

They installed fairly simply, although the process of figuring out how to go about all the tasks (like loosening the seats so the leather could be slid up) took time, and i wound up spending 5 hours on the project while working with one other guy. the leather is intact & unharmed, which is a relief, as there definitely is the possibility of damaging the paint on the truck or the seats in the process.

When its all said and done, they don't recline all-the-way, but they do recline enough to quadruple the comfort for back seat passengers - it feels like of loungy and sprawled rather than upright and cramped - and move you far enough from the DVD screens in the headrest to make movie watching far nicer. In full recline, the cupholders are tilted back somewhat, which might cause some spills if one isn't careful.

Its a huge, huge improvement, and easily worth the $$$ in my opinion. It makes the back seat of the H2 as nice of a place to be as the front seat is.

here's a pic to show how much more recline you get relative to stock.

ultimately, the recline is limited to about this far by the brackets, apparently, and would be limited by the seats hitting the plastic that goes over thew heels and contains the storage bins anyway.

The difference in viewing distance for the DVD's is between 1.5 and 2 times farther, which is great.

Although i'm sure its just in my head, it seems to ride better back there as well. Probably just a more relaxed seating position messing with my head.

i'm not really sure if they have an H3 kit, i'll email the guy and ask. The H3 would benefit big-time from this also, methinks.

they have at least several positions, 6 maybe? at lunch i'll see if i can figure out the details.

zoinks! you get the sweet lookin SUT, but i guess you're pretty well screwed for the recline. always a tradeoff in there somewhere.

there are at least 4 positions starting from a little more upright than the factories to full recline. full recline and one-higher-than-that are really comfy

i didn't find anything about the brackets for the H3
