Default Rear P/S Door Won't Open

I replaced all the speakers in my H3 over the weekend. When I replaced the rear P/S door panel I didn't relies that the door lock was in the wrong position and now I cant unlock or open that door. I can't take the door panel off because the door is closed. Does anyone have any suggestions on HOW to open the door so I can remove the panel and fix my lock?

Thanks!

Take the door panel off. You can reach the screw heads under the door handle and pull the door tabs off all the way around the door with it still shut. I did it when I fixed my busted rear door latch mechanism.

My rear passenger locks won't open and door is shut. How do you remove the panel with the door closed? Can you describe how you did it???

Look at the post above. Inside the door handle you will find the screws, find a door assembly diagram or search door removal threads to get a visual on how it goes together. There is an electrical connector to be disconnected under the handle. The door edges have push fasteners around the edges, you can get to them and slide a finger or a pry tool under the edge to pop it up. At the top of the door it slides down into a channel so lift the panel about a half inch. You can now get your hand behind the door and operate the door mechanism.

This totally worked! Had to get a friend to help pull on the panel but managed to get it off with door closed. Was able to reconnect the cables to the lock and now is as good as new. Thanks RSC for the advice!!!
