Default Rear Backing plate discontinued???

I'm trying to find some rear backing plates, or anchor plates for my 05 H2
I've called GM dealerships in canada and the US and it seems they are discontinued, how can this be? are we not going to fix emergency brakes anymore?
anyone heard of a replacement?
Don

Have your dealer do a stock check with all the dealers nationwide. I bet some dealer has one sitting on the shelf.

I didn't read where it said you did a search. It just said you called dealerships in US and Canada. That could be two dealerships for all I know. Excuse me for trying to help with my bad suggestion.

I actually ordered this 2 weeks ago. Here's the part no. 15949893 $33.08 each from gmpartsdirect.

Hope this helps!

Looks like that part # cross references with a few different gm vehicles. a gmc 3500 van is one of them. Surprised that the dealer didn't check.

the part number 15949893 for $33 is not the right one for the rear of an 05 H2
my backing plate is part of the emergency braking system

you guys with your childish replies is why ppl like me dont bother with asking for help on forums, I come here once a yr to see if anyone has an intelligent suggestion and this is the **** I get in return

lovem... before you embarrass yourself further why don't you perform a search on how many people we've helped and I have been helped by. You are the outlier here... Here's a suggestion - try being nice. Good suggestion

I have better things to do - see you next year

Ok who said we need "people" "like""you" in this forum ???

BTW a very quick search showed the part even in Ebay and it is compatible
(This part is compatible with 2 vehicle(s) matching 2005 Hummer H2.) And it is in Ohio ( Is that united state?)

No to help you but to show you how stupid could someone be when posted " I RESEARCHED ALL AMERICA AND CANADA"
