Ready to buy an H3, need advice
Guys I am new here so thanks for your patience. Really looking forward to wheeling with you.
Just about to go down to the dealer today or tomorrow and get a gorgeous Slate Blue H3. Been wanting one since before they came out.
But, I need some help from you guys to counter alot of pressure I am getting from others to get an FJ, which I don't want. I am gettingpushed from everyone -wife, friends and especiallywheeling buddies. Yes we will be taking it out a lot, mainly Anza Borrego and Mojave.
Can you guys help me with arguing points against the FJ? I just don't like 'em, but that's not a quite a good enough explanation to some. All the guys we wheel with love their FJsand I REALLY want to kick their smug little butts.
Here are the reasons I prefer the H3:
1. Doors
2. Do not need to wheel as hard as an FJ or Jeep, prefer dirt roads mostly
3. Looks / Image
4. Reliability not as important; weekend car only
5.Plenty of nicebling accessories - got'em picked out
When I show up next week in my gorgeous kickass Slate Blue, I am gonna want to wheel rings aroundmy little FJ buddies. Any suggestions? This is life and death we're talking here!!!

sorry, but stock for stock there is really no comparisons between the two.....a stock h3 can handle 35's with NO LIFT....how many inches will you need to get 35's under an FJ?
I do believe you are a troll....so I will not waste any more time with you.
Im sure you'll look cool in you ugly as sin FJ...BTW cute white roof

I don't think the FJ is ugly. For a moment I considered one myself, but I didn't think it was nearly as good looking as the H3, and I *new* the H3 was the one for me.
For me, getting the H3 had nothing to do with image, it had to do with me really loving the look of it. I just had to have it.

Thanks for all the responses guys. I am going for it!
On the trail I wanna rub their white-roofed little noses in it. Gonna be some Toyota meat on the table.
Also given that I have not yet trail-driven an H3 can you guys please give me some tips? We may do South Coyote, with the waterfall.

That's great to see your getting a H3...... I guess that's because you F'd up your FJ?

Nice crack.... are you going to get one for your H3?

You may need a bigger rock if you are planing on high centering the H3.... good thing that VW was there to pull the FJ off.

I haven't heard of any issues with the H3's wheels staying in alignment, so you won't have to deal with the problem like you did with the FJ.

Don't do anything too stupid with your H3 like this.

I don't think Donahoe makes lifts for the H3, so it shouldn't take 2 months to get the lift taken care of.
