Question Re-set the Tire Pressure Light??

My wife's 08 H3 has a light in the dash that indicates a low tire..
Thats easy to fix..
I waited till the next Morning when the Truck sat all night so I would start with cold tires..

I checked all 4 and each was to recommended psi except the Left rear, it was 10psi under inflated (cold).

I have my own Air Pump and filled tire to the same psi as the other three..

This is all easy and basic Check and fill cold as needed..

My question is and deals with the dash indicator,

How do I reset the the indicator??

Uh, you shouldn't have to do anything. If all the tires are inflated enough and everything is working properly the light should go out.

Had that happen to me, turns out I was setting them to a pressure too close to the threshold. On one day, off the next. IIRC, I was setting them to 36 or 38. Asked the dealership to check while they were doing something else, they set all 4 tires to 40 and and the light never came back.

As a test, I'd fill them all to like 42 and see if the light goes off. If not it's a problem somewhere in the sensors/system.

I didn't know that.. I own a 2010 2500 Chevy and I do know that you have to manually reset the indicator..

I personally have not driven the H3 sense I inflated the tire, just asked my wife if the idiot light was still on..

I think I may wait and do as you said by trying to air all 4 tires to 42 in the morning then drive it myself..

Thanks again..

If you take it to discount tire they'll get the TPM reset for you, and they'll also look at the TPM in each wheel (including the spare) and they'll replace the parts in each wheel if they are broken, i believe the cashier advertised $19.99 for this service which isn't to bad IMO as it includes parts/labor
