Default Rattle

Has anyone else experienced a rattle that sounds as though it is coming from the passenger door behind the driver? I don't hear it going over bumps or anything, but it seems to begin around 50mph and continues up to around 70 or so. I cannot seem to pin down the actual location but thought I would see if anyone had any insight before I run it to the dealership. I have only had the H3 for about 2-1/2 weeks, it began aound the 1-1/2 week mark.

Funny - same thing started on my 1-1/2 week-old Alpha this morning on the way to work but it seems like it's further rearward. Hmmm . . .

Maybe it could be something loose in the storage area in the back??

I had a weird one on the driver's side that took three days to locate. It ended up being the parking brake cable was routed wrong and the part where the single cable branches out to two cables was rattling against the bottom of the floor board.

Do you guys have window rain guards? If so, maybe one it isn't seated correctly. My 06 that we had did that. One of them wasn't stuck onto the door right and the back of it used to rattle going down the road.

Cracked roof rail pieces have led to odd and hard to detect sounds for a few contributors here. [/align]

Nothing loose in the storage areas, nor do I have rainguards on the windows. The parkign brake cable sounds logical, will check it out.

I guess that's why Consumer Reports black balled our H3's in the squeaks and rattles department. The good news is the 2007 models with regard to the drive train have improved significantly in their ratings! All their black marks came from fit and finish kinda things.

Funny you mention this noise. I just started getting it about a month or so ago, and in the exact same spot. I have no idea what it is, but it sure sounds like it's wind-related. Although I've had mine for 2 years.
