I have been using only the key, not the beeper thing. Was told it could also be the BCM thing, I am having that done today.

From what I read, it must be either the Ignition cylinder (which would explain why the car starts 10 minutes later, when the theft control times out) or the Fuel Pump (which would explain why this problem occurred in the mornings when engine was cold 90% of the time). The BCM module could also be a factor, not sure about this.
I'll add two things: 1) this thread is more than 2years old ; and, 2) the H3 has NO FUEL FILTER, (not even a strainer). The pump/control module part: ACDELCO Part # MU1473. Hope you did not pay much to service/change a nonexistent part?

Default fuel filter

the fuel filter is in the fuel sending unit ,part of the pump assembl
the book refers to a filter element but makes no mention of servicing it...jfwiw.

Why don't you buy the fuel filter and show us all what it looks like?

#1 is the EVAP return line and filler vent (the little canister thing mounts in the top rear of the tank and is a purge [one way] valve) and is sold with the tank assembly.... you can see it in position on the top of the tank.
#2 is the pressure sensor
#3 is the pump cam lock ring
#4 is the fuel line
#5 is the pump module
#6 is the pump to tank seal
#7 tank assembly
#8 is the level sending unit

#8 is a wire with a connector on one end the sender that snaps on the side of the pump with a float on an articulating wire arm?

No filter.

Wink curious logic?

or the Fuel Pump (which would explain why this problem occurred in the mornings when engine was cold 90% of the time).
cold, so wont start?? thousands of hummers start cold.

i had a veh that would start run fine, would NOT run warm/hot.
and i doubt if the hidden filter is the problem!!

Default Randomly wont start

This could be your problem. The pass lock system problem. Performed daignostic system check and found B2957, current tested and found high resistance in pass lock switch in ignition replaced ing. swith HSH. reprogramed theft system and tested. This corrected the problem. This problem was on my 2006 H3.
This problem would happen sometimes. Vehicle would need to set for 10 mins. then would start. Ignition Part number 15795321. You will need to reprogram your pass lock system after you replace the ingnition switch.

Default Wondering

I'm having this same issue with my 07. Are they replacing the pass lock, or the ignition switch to correct this issue??

Got a 2010 H3T Alpha 23000 mi had 6 mo. One time event of driving app. 5 mi and turning it off for app. 10 min and when trying to start all I got was the clicking like a dying battery.Lights and radio fine. By the time I got back with other truck and cables it started. Had batt load checked and starting system checked all fine. Thinking starter. If so how hard to change. Can't seem to find any manuals online.Previous posts mentioned a change in ignition system or pass lock.Would these problems have the solinoid click?
