Default Radio question

Just bought my H3 last week. Got a radio question. Every time I adjust the bass and treble it won't remember the setting. Whenever I turn off the ignition it always resets itself to Bass +4 and Treble +0. I have auto eq set to custom, but it still wont save the settings. Irritating!

Maybe an obvious question, but did you hold the EQ button for the requisite number of seconds (until it beeps) before saving the station preset?

In my experience with stereo installations, I know there are 2 power cables. One is connected to the ignition for all major operations. The other connects directly to the battery which is for keeping clock and other personal settings. Does the clock re-set?
