Default Radio Died?? Any suggestions is greatly appreciated!

Hi everyone!

I bought my 2006 h3 back last summer and has been an awesome!

Just yesterday my radio died on me. I do have the monsoon system.

Now the radio will not turn on when the car is on. it is completely off with no messages. When the car is not running the little red light on the radio (theft?) is lit constantly red.

I tried disconnecting the battery for a bit and also checked the radio fuse, which neither fixed my problem.

Does anyone have any suggestions or have run into this problem? I have had no issues with the radio at all before this and has always worked like a charm! And also sounds AWESOME for a stock system!

Thanks in advanced!!!!

Kevin

Suggestion: get a new one.

I don't have the Monsoon but perhaps there is a sub fuse that is shutting you down?

Not sure if they show up as theft lock when it kicks in or not, never had a problem with mine. Used ones are pretty plentiful on the bay but you will have to make a pit stop at the dealer to get it programmed for your vin so it works.

Sounds like you radio went into security lock mode. Only way to get it out of that mode is to get to a dealer. Sorry!

The solid red dot is your confirmation. I know you said you disconnected your batt, I would do that 1 monre time for 10 minutes but I still think you are going to the dearler as Tainter said.

PM me an offer if you end up needing the head unit. I'm not looking to make any crazy money off it. I have no use for it anymore.
