I have noticed dozens of frinds gm cars with the same problem. The coating on the buttons wears off with friction. My 06 h3 is doing this as well. My seek button is mostly white at night.

 

Our 2000 (GM) Chevy Impala has whitening buttons as well.

 

I work at a Cadillac/Hummer dealer and we replace radios for this condition if the buttons are not available seperate(which isn't many). I would take it to your dealer first and see if they will do something. Steve

Hi, guys! I see the topic is old but I just registered and I have the same problem on my H2. I'm from a country in Europe called Bulgaria and I've bought my Hummer from USA years ago so I haven't got a warranty option My buttons started falling apart 2 years ago and I just let them peel but now they are very ugly and I don't know what to do. My qustion is does anybody know of some kind of online shop able to ship to my country which sells spare radio buttons for 2003-2007 Hummer h2. Thanks in advance!
