RE: Raccoon Babies For Paige
My boyfriend had a pet raccoon for 12 years. It had fallen out of their hay loft before it's eyes were even open, and they bottle fed it. His name was bandit and he has pictures of Bandit and the cat and their dog playing together. He said he loved fruit cocktail and cottage cheese He said they are pretty awesome as pets, he had another one later on but it was older when he got it. It's eyes were already open and it was a bit more aggressive so he had to give him away because his daughter was very young and he didn't want her to get bitten. But Bandit he said was great. They'd take him down to the swimming hole, and to the bar, where he'd walk up and down the bar begging for peanuts..hahahha...

That is funny..When I was a kid I found and orphan Coon and raised him up for and turned him loose when he was 5 or 6 years old He got a little wild with strangers..But he's go to the swimming hole with me and my friends too(his name was Bandit also) he slept on the foot of the bed with me at night..after he raided all my mother's flower pots, throwing dirt everywhere..but My grandmother really loved him tooand his favorite food was left over oatmeal from breakfast...

That is neat. I'm thinkin every raccoon that has been a pet has been named Bandit He has always wanted another one since Bandit was such a wonderful pet, but he says you have to get them very, very young or else they are too wild. He just got lucky finding his. It was probably only 2 weeks old, so he was very tame. He said he got huge!
