You'll actually need a Dranetz Total Harmonic Disturbance Analyser.....
Seriously..Go to AutoZone andask them toperform a LOAD TEST (it's free)on the battery and determine that if it's crapping out or not.

Well you're probably not going to believe this BUT, we had been having problems with rats and set out poison. Seeking a dark space to quietly bite the dust the affected rat sought refuge in a warm dark quiet spot and wasn't found until seeking the source of the smell.
As an aside back in the early 60's some of us funnier lads used to stick the dead body of a rabbit alongside the manifold of one of our friends cars. The result was the same.
