RE: Questions from a soon to be Hummer owner
Glad to be here and thanks for the info!
ImportKiller, one question... that yellow hummer of yours, I like the look of those tires. What wheels do you have there and are those tires315's? SoI can put 315's on it without having to left or level it? Can you post a larger pic?
More Info...
Im from Texas, I hit East Texas a couple times a monthat a 900 acre ranch. Wicked off-road trails and some rough DARK roads. Which reminds me of another question... Those two toplights that you can get from the dealer. How well do they light up? Anyone been in the deep east texas woods knows how dark it can get so I know I will need em. Are the optional driving lights for the bumper worthy as well? Or should I just mount some KC's on the grill guard?
I must admit, Im not familiar with Rock Sliders, what are they?
I'm Just now getting back into the 4x4 scene after about 12 years... back then Dick Cepek and Mickey Thompson ruled the world.

My wife has the Bumper Grill with Off-Road Lamps on her H3 and it's brighter than the headlights. I have 35" Mickey Thompson MTZ's on my H3 and I love it! The ride is smooth and it's not noisy.

Was it lifted to accomodate those MTZ 35's ? Can you post a pic please?

Here's my 2 cents:
The undercarriage protection is okay, but usually not needed. As long as you have rock sliders, your skid plates will protect most of the important stuff. I've done a fair amount of rock crawling with my H3 and I can't think of too many times that the UCP would help. Unless you crash down on a pointed rock or a stump. It certainly would help. I went with the Rocky Road Supersliders and they are great:
