Questions on the CV Axle Replacement Process
So I have decided to change my CV axle assemblies and have a few questions. Once I remove the axle nut and the six bolts does the axle come off easily? I would assume it pulls straight out but thought I would ask the group. Also, I should not have to remove the hub assembly (again), right? As usual, thanks much!

Its actually flat on the end where the 6 bolts are. I think they are 15MM.
Should come out after unbolting the nut on the hub/axle.
Where did you get yours at? Im thinking of doing mine since I am going to pull the whole pumpkin for gears and seal replacement soon.

Thanks for the great reply! Exactly what I was looking for. I am getting mine at NAPA for ~$80 ea. Thicker boots, better grease and supposedly better balanced. I will post my note upon completion. Thanks again!

Update: I purchased mine from O'Reilly (Precision brand) and installed them both in an hour. The axles are pretty beefy and are brand new with lifetime warranty. I know the person there and he said that the Precision ones haven't had any problems however the Master (?) ones have had periodic issues. Went on as the video explained. Thanks again!
