Question for Hunner...

I personally couldn't justify more than $350-400 for such a product. I mean its nice and useful but not worth anywhere near $750 IMHO.
BTW how much did you guys give for them when you bought them?

Exactly, I wouldn't do much past the $350 mark. I wonder what the true cost would be, just for such a small quantity it would be more than likely pricey like that.

It was a gift from my buddy. After I gave him my front bumper (I had 3 bumpers and both of our HUMMERS have B/A bumpers)

As long as you have (2) outside mirrors, (driver/passenger), you don't even NEED a rear window.

I believe the designer said he spent about $750 working with someone that made just one.
You can actually see under it. When I pull my enclosed work trailer I cannot see anything but the trailer anyway. Same thing with my truck. Just have to use mirrors.
I left the plans with a shop months ago and never got an estimate. Maybe if things get slow they would think about it. Yea about $400 might be possible if there were enough made. I sure do not want to invest $4000 in 10 of them so I sort of dropped it for awhile.
I got a guy that could build them besides this shop and does good work, when I can get him to work. He has done all my welding for years on my trailers. I gave up on him.
It seems to be one of those things that people want but cannot justify the price.
The smaller version I traded for a set of my Hunner EXtreme skids.
I got the larger one for about half what he had in it including shipping. I knew it would be tough to get one made reasonably.
I love mine and use it all the time. With the bigger size Extreme chest I can still get the water jug and fuel on there. Great for several days camping. I can carry my small Honda generators on there by themselves to work on boats and don't stink up the H3. Sleeping bags are dry at the end of the day wheeling without the ice chest sloshing over inside.

There is a difference between what someone says they'll buy on the intrawebs or a focus group than what they actually would when push comes to shove. Just ask GM with whole new GTO debacle and the G8 backfire.
If I were the one to organize a buy of short run aftermarket goodies for a recently cancelled car brand...I would take all money up front with a min of a dozen units.
