Default RE: Question about suspension. Lowering

Installing the Ground Force kit is one of the first things I did to my H3. I posted a thread on it (below).

I found that the 3" drop in the rear looked a tad excessive, so I boughtsome 2" lowering blocks from the local Autozone. I'm stillusing the Ground Force "U" bolts, shocks and spring plates though.

The spring plates don't really do much. They're probably not necessary. All they do is shorten the shock length an inch or so. And in this thread, I measured the "U" bolts and describe what lengths you'd need to drop the H3.

Cheap anti-sway bar from that thread.

Probably the best thing to do is the "U" bolts I measured in the thread above, a set of 2" blocks,3/4 - 1 degree of negative front camber, the rear anti-sway bar from the link above,..and a good set of shocks all around. (whatever people on this board like).

That's probably ll you can reasonably do to an H3.

agreed/didagreed. I hate blinged hummers and IMO the H3 looks almost as bad as the H1 does with bling. a blinged H3 looks about as good as my neighbors blinged grand cherokee covered with stick-on chrome. BUT, at least its not an H1, there are thousands of h3s and theyre still in production. a lowered H3 is just as good as a stock height H3 in that it will never be taken offroad anyway (byludwig at least)

Lowering kit is installed and I love it! I'll post pics tomorrow.Makesa big difference with the wheels. Had the windshield tinted too, the whole thing not a banner. All ready for summer, now someone needs to produce smoked roof marker lenses and I'll be set.

Pics on Saturday
