Question about suspension. Lowering

Question about suspension. Lowering
I know it's probably considered blasphemy, but I'll ask anyway. I've been researching some lowering kits to help eliminate the fender gap when the "summer shoes" are on.
I've found a ton of pics from the Ground Force website and on othere various site that contain their black H3. I found the pic below on the Stallion Customs page that was sent in by a customer. In this pic, do you think it has the 1"-3" drop or the 2" rear drop? I don't want to get into the same stuff i've done with my jetta (see below)that totally blows the ride quality and characteristics of the factorysuspension. I thought I only wanted to get the 2" rear drop, but then I started thinking, whats another inch.
Thoughts? Input always welcome.
Pic 1 is my H3 from last summer
pic 2 is the jetta (air ride)
Pic 3 1"-3" drop or 2"rear?

RE: Question about suspension. Lowering
Hi there I have to ground force 1-3inch kit in mine the rear lowering blocks are 3" and when I fitted them the rear ride was shocking as it hit the bump stops all the time so I cut the base off the bump stop (about 1") it fits perfectly back into its holder and it now rides sweet and has done about 10,000km like this. The 1" front is a set of adjustable camber/castor pins and you can wind the torsion bars up or down to your liking I dropped mine 2" s to even the look front to rear.

Now why on earth would you want to lower your hummer. []
Its kool, like Trey said to ech his own. The 3s in those pics look pretty damn sweet. A car is one of the great joys in life, if you don't like what you roll in, you will be one depressed SOB.

RE: Question about suspension. Lowering
To be honest I dont know what a standard H3 handles like with the big tyres and 16" rims, I drove mine straight to the wheel shop and fitted the 22" rims with low profile tyres and then drove 600km home. I was suprised how good the ride and handling was, I only lowered it for the look and ease of getting in and out.
Since lowering it the handling is even better when we drive over to the coast there is part of the journey that is approx 90km of winding road (Oxley Hwy through Gingers creek) on the trips over I have done there has not been 1 car that has tried to pass me only motorcycles, some cars even pull over to let me pass.
They are probably swearing at me as I pass.[:@]

RE: Question about suspension. Lowering
Thanks for the feedback Stubbs. I ordered the GF 1"-3" kit. My question now is did your kit come with the new struts? Should I be prepared to mod the bumpstops?
TIA

RE: Question about suspension. Lowering
The kit comes with shorter rear shocks so they dont bottom out but I think you will be cutting the rear bump stops as I did or the bottoming out will give you the *****. When you pull the bump stops you will see exactly what you need to do they look like a consitina just cut the top one off and push the bump stop back in.
The front onlt gets the camber/caster adjusters to correct the alignment when you have wound the torsion bars down, mine does sit on the bump stops but it only had about 5mm clearance from new, I am going to fit a better set of shocks all round probably Koni or similar to firm up the ride.
