I've got the chrome plastic ones for over a year now..no probs...But 3M is not enough.
I added silicone also...rock solid and look great...all those parts with 3M only, you've got to add silicone

Thanks everyone for the replies. I ordered a new pair yesterday for around 85.00. I'll make sure to add some silicone, because it sounds like the tape doesn't work too well. Thanks Again.
