Pros and cons of Big tires
Hey everyone I'm new to this Forum, I'm 20 years old, from Alabama and I own a 2007 Black Hummer H3. I was looking to get sum 20" kmc xd monster wheels and sum nitto grappler tires, preferably 35" and I was wondering what the pros and cons are of having big tires on your hummer, as well as would I have to get new brake pads and calipers or a new tire rack on the back because I plan on purchasing 5 wheels.

Hello and welcome.....
You have not done your homework, a 35 tire fits absolutely fine on the back door, no problems. Monster wheels ain't that cool, not nearly, if you have to mess with calipers.
Weedhopper, you may leave when you have completed your homework.
I would never mount a foreign tire on my truck, no need to do it, buy American.

well with the big wheels and tires you'll be able to def clear those extreme parking blocks and speed bumps at the mall.
seriously do some research before posting common sense posts. you can fit 35s just fine, no need to upgrade your brakes but if you can afford it go ahead. can't have too good of breaks, your gas mileage will drop especially with that set up, heavy wheels and some of the heaviest tires, also both are horrible overpriced IMO. there are a lot better cheaper options out there.
first thing first though, learn and becomes friend with that search button up above

STAGGS is right though. I run KMC XD SPYs in 18's with Nitto Trails on mine, and they are extremely heavy. I would say close to twice the weight of the stock tire and wheel combo

35 fit fine
Even on the spare, I went with 18x9 with the nitro trail grapplers, if I had to do it again I would get the same rockstar wheels but the Duratac tires in the same size. The spare fits fine but the door is heavy. I leveled the front to get rid of the rake the truck has. That can be done a couple of ways, search on here to see your optoions. Have fun enjoy it and do to it what you like, it's your truck.

The high-tech ADVICS elecronic braking/traction control/stability control system in the H3 is made by a group of Japanese auto engineers/suppliers (they make the same system for the Toyota 4 Runner). Better tear out that sucker out and put in something U.S. built.

I'm with you Doc. American made AND owned whenever possible.
Back to the OP. The very heavy rims and tires you have picked will decrease your MPGs a little more than others in the same MT category. Gains will be a better looking rig and increased ground clearance under both of your diffs as well as better approach, breakover and departure angles.
