ProForged Rear Sway Bar End Link
I just installed these end links on a whim, since I've been upgraded my entire worn out suspension. The part number is 113-10149. They run about $30 each. The come with a 1M mile warranty. I'm not big on warranties, but the company seems to back up their products & are rated well.
The reason I felt I should write this review is to provide a little insight about the upgrade.
My old suspension is worn out & I really don't know how the previous owner used & abused it. I had originally only upgraded the anti sway bars & these corrected a lot of the body roll. Otherwise, nothing else was fixed. To me, this was to be expected.
In the mean time, I've been trying to diagnose & repair parts of the suspension that are causing the body & seats/interior to shake a lot. This is not indicative of 08s/09s, so something or many things must be worn out. I just ordered a rear axle tie rod & rear control arms to fix the rear jumping around & shaking the insides. Oh a whim, I ordered these end links just as a simple upgrade, repair & clean up of the suspension.
When I first drove off, the H2 felt a lot more planted & the ride was smoother. I was sure this was a placebo effect. I took off for some pretty harsh roads & I'd say 50% to 60% of the rear "jumping" feeling on rough roads was entirely gone. At the same time, much more of the sway & rolling effect I was getting are basically gone. It's starting to feel like what an H2 should feel like, an offroad vehicle that feels like riding on glass.
I can't confirm if it's the build quality of this specific kit or if any of the aftermarket end link kits provide the same improvement ( Moog, Mevotech, etc) or if even just the ACDelco kit would provide the same end result.
Either way, if you're having some instability in the rear & you're feeling a lot of the road in your seat or the body, make a small investment & upgrade to these if yours have a good amount of wear on them. The ride quality is night & day.
Here's some pics of the ProForged vs the stock, old ACDelcos. Enjoy.
