Default PROBLEMS WITH MY PITMAN ARM thanx i got it fix check the pix

Anyone had any problems with the pitman arm or idler arm thats what i had on a paper.. i took my truck to the mecanic and he said this part got to be replace i have no idea what part is this help anyone

pretty common for these to wear out. pitman arm is the arm that connects from your steering box to therelay rod. idler arm connectsrelay rodto the frame on the pass side. tie rod ends go on the end of therelay rod. stabilizer shock keeps the steering wheel from jerking out of your hand when you hit a curb.

Agree with Shortbus, pretty common problem. One of the first things I did to my 06 H2 was tie rods and pitman/idler arm kit. After one off road venture @ about 3,000 miles both went on the truck.

How did you end up getting the pitman arm off?? did you remove the steering gear? or just use that fork?
