It depends on where you are and the sales environment. If they can move all the vehicles they want selling over MSRP, why not. But I'd besurprised if that's the case. I got a fairly gooddiscount off the sticker priceback in September when they were fresh on the market.

 

I picked my up two weeks ago for $28,995 NEW. MSRP was $34,315: Base Model with automatic transmission, sunroof, tow package, homelink, and power driver's seat.

Side note: I live in Indiana and they collected sales tax there at the dealer, now I have been waiting 2 weeks for the form that I need to provide to the state of Indiana showing that I paid sales tax.
Also, I don't know if this is the case at all dealerships or not, as this is the first time I paid cash for a vehicle, but I also did not get my certificate oforigin for the vehicle, which meant that I couldn't apply for a title.Until it came a week later.
The dealership did provide me two 7-day drive away tags. 1 when I bought the car, and another one when they sent the certificate of origin. Now I am two weeks into it and on Monday my new hummer will have to be parked because I won't be able to get it reistered and tagged until I have the form showing that I paid sales tax.
So if you decide to buy from them, find out which state they do not pay sales tax for and tell them that is where you are taking it, then pay your own sales tax when you register the car.

Davyo -- I checked my GM Family First logon and have one authorization left until 4/30/08....which after 4/30/08 I should receive 2 more again. All I need is you zip code, your birthdate, and your email address so I can send you the authorization number/documentation.

 

I dug around on the GMFF site and found out that I get 1 authorization per month...they changed the system since I last got one for someone.

 

Pricing in Canada is a bit better now, when our dollar broke even with the US there were lots of people crossing the boarder to buy there vehicles there because of the price difference back then a stock H3 was going for 43,000.00, I paid 55,000.00 for mine loaded....Dam, I could of got an H2 for that price in the US, anyways, now they are give a 5K return now. have look below!!

Guam also prices the H3 very high as well. I got my 07' H3 for 43k and my wife's 08' H3 for 45k.

Wow, thanks for the offer, very cool of you to say the least.

I dont know exactly how the GMID works so if I may ask a few questions ?

If I use the GMID you give me and I dont end up doing the deal because the dealership jerks me around,,, does that mean that one authorization you gave me is now no good for anyone else to use ?
I would be bummed if I used your GMID and the deal fell apart,

When using a GMID do I enter into the Hummer website, print it out andtake it to the dealer or just let the dealer know I have a GMID ?

Since the dealer has quoted me the $34,630.00 price does the GMID discount off that price or should it discount off the $32,550.00 price that the Hummer website gave me ?

Sorry for the dumb questions Joe, I've never used a GMID before.

An up-date to my thread I started here, I got me another Hummer H3 today, my local Las Vegas dealer Towbin Hummer came way downon the price, got rid of a big chunk of my negitive equity I had in my Tacoma via cash back incentives/rebate type stuff and got my an interest rate much lower than I expected,,,, in short, Im very happy with my local Hummer dealer.

Just wanted to say thanks to all for the input on my thread and the advice.

And a BIG thanks to "Joewcobb3" for the offer of the GMID, while I didnt end up usingyour offer of the GMID it was very very cool ofyou to make the offer, I shall PM you as well Joe with a thank you.

Anyhow, I gots me a Hummer again (Black H3) and life is good again,,,,,,, should'a never sold my first Hummer,,,,, Ohh well,,, lesson learned.
