Getting another H3 and been e-mailing back and forth with my local Hummer dealer to get the best price for a new 08 H3 base model (automatic).
Short story of the deal is I will be trading in my07 Tacoma with some negitive equity rolled over tothe new H3.

The price they faxed me for the basemodel was $34,630.00, not including the Toyota negitive equity,,,,,, $34,630.00 seems a bit high to me and over MSRP, I checked the Hummer website for pricing and it tells me $32,550.00.

What is the opinion of you'all.

Would be interested to hear what kinda prices others have gotten recently,,,, how much over or under MSRP.

I wouldn't pay a penny over msrp. Isn't Hummer giving away $1000.00 in free accessories with each new Hummer H3? I paid $41,500 for a new H3 Alpha with the Adventure pkg when they first came out. One dealer here is adding a $5,000.00 premium to the Alphas but I don't think they are selling any at that price. For a base model you should be able to cut a deal and get the truck for under MSRP, at least before you roll the negative into the deal.

I have heard that Canada, Australia, the Carribean Islands are all very expensive places to buy a Hummer.

My base '08 was purchased just after Thanksgiving for $29,500. That price includes a $1K GM rebate. It does not include tax or licensing fees. I do recall a GM price increase since then but I think it was only ~1%. Tell them you'll pay $300 over invoice then go through the invoice and eliminate crap like advertising fees.

Davyo -- would you like a coupon for a GM Supplier Discount ('GM in the Driveway discount') -- if you don't have access to any type of discount, I can get you an authorization number from GM....especially if you are getting rid of a Toyota. GM gives us 2 every 6 months that we can give out and I have one authorization left. Let me know. I think the supplier discount is about 4 or 5% off MSRP.

I got my 08 base model with a sunroof and a hitch and side steps for $30500 out the door...all taxes and licensing included.

 

Davyo, I would contact Joe due to his generous offer before discussing things further with your dealer. You stated you were negotiating for a base '08 with an automatic transmission so I did a quick build at GM Family First and came up with a MSRP Price of $33,035 and a Discount Price of $29,706.88! Again, that is just a base with an auto transmission as the only option so if you want additional stuff it will obviously not be reflected in that quote. I'd hit Joe up for the GMID as it will save you some trouble. I hope I am able to find a GMID Number toward the end of the year when I am looking at '09s!
