Default Predator Products for H1 Alpha

Hello everybody,

Got an H1 alpha for couple of months now and want to do a bit of performance and exterior work for it and I like what Predator offer but would like to know your review on them

Also want to know if this RapTorq High Performance Computer Upgrade really works and give you that 140hp / 200ft of torque, and how reliable will the car be.

If anybody can give me any more info I will really appreciate it.

Thanks guys.

There has been a lot of skepticism on the horsepower claims. Most of those were on the 6.5TD. The Duramax lends itself to upgrades much more than the 6.5 did. Ask for a dyno test sheet on the upgrade.
I think Predator offers some great products. I have a number of Predator items on my trucks.

Will the heavy duty Brush Guard http://www.predatorinc.com/d-ringhea...rushguard.aspx be a straight installation on the alpha as I heard that their is a slight difference between the 04 and alpha front with some mounting. Any truth in that.

Also what is the biggest tire size I can go on the car without modifying the inner body or have to lift the car? And any particular brand you advice which is good for the desert, and hopefully not very noisy . Never expect this car to me a Lexus

3hummers, you seem to love your hummers

On the Alpha there is a 2" body lift for the Duramax/Allison combo. You can fit 40" tires without any modifications. I like the KM2 and Kevlar MTR tires. The Hummer is specified for an E range tire and they are almost non-existent in 37" and even more so in 40" You can use a higher range rated D range tire. The problem with the 40" tires( KM2 and Kevlar MTR ) is that when you go 40" the width increases to, I believe, 14.5" from 12.5". When the suspension is heavily articulated I am not sure you can stuff all of that tire into the wheel well.
I think the 40" Goodyear MTR, non Kevlar is still a 12.5" tire but I am not sure on that. It is a D range tire and the added sidewall probably doesn't help the ride any.

Being in SoCal I do a lot of desert and rock offroading. Both the KM2 and Kevlar MTR have performed very well for me.
As for the D ring brushguard the extra 2" will make a difference in how it mounts up. Be sure Predator knows that it will be mounted on an Alpha.
Yes I do love my Hummers and sorely miss some of the ones on my sold list. ( including my 2006 H1 Alpha wagon and 2000 factory slantback )

one more thing is there any forums where the H1 community is more active or is it because it's an H1 not much talk only action.

Ran out of room on the wagon. Between the 5 other Hummers and other cars I have I just didn't have room for any more vehicles.

www.humvee.net is the biggest, most active H1 forum. I am on that one also.
