Pre-cut Window Tint

Pre-cut Window Tint
I'm most likely going to get this in the next week for my H3. Has anybody dealt with these kind of places before:

I guess I'm just curious as to the quality. I've tinted quite a few windows in my time but always manually cut the pieces. It would cost me more for the rolls of tint then to buy this pre-cut stuff. This also makes it SO much easier and less time-consuming.

RE: Pre-cut Window Tint
Not a bad deal but I have no idea about the quality on that one ... the last thing you want is something that starts coming off 2 weeks down the road ... with that said, it may be great quality and a hell of bargain .. I know I would prefer the pre-cut pieces if I was planning on doing it myself ... plus like you said, this is cheaper than buying a roll of the stuff ... worth a shot!

RE: Pre-cut Window Tint
I'm probably going to go ahead and do this. I want to blacken the back windows more, but not extreme to the point I cant see out of them, just enough to give it that limo look.
Considering the level of tint the H3's already have, what would you guys suggest?
5%, 20%, 35%, 50%
These are the choices I have. Thanks!

RE: Pre-cut Window Tint
Since the rear windows already have tint, any film you put on it will reduce the remaining light. Since you want to still see out of the windows, I wouldn't go any darker than 50%. Keep in mind the percentage is the amount of light ALLOWED to get through. The rears are somewhere around 30% to begin with, so with a 50% tint on top of that, you will have about15% of the original total light penetrating into the vehicle. Any darker than that and you may not be able to see through it at night.

In order to go to 35%, you would have to find some way to remove the tint from the factory glass, assuming they are in the 30% range. The percentage represents the amount of light allowed to get through, not what is blocked. Think of the tint in the same light as an oil filter. The filtration indicator on an oil filter is given in microns that get through, all else are blocked.

I decided I'm not going to put another layer of tint and just keep it the way it is. I have a better idea for the windows....................... and I can promise you, nobody has ever done this before, and it's even legal!
