powder coating or buy new
I currently have black brush guards and nerf bars on the 3 that I bought on ebay. They serve their purpose but are more of a black painted finish. I'm trying to decide if I should have them powder coated, keep as is OR their is a new OEM brush guard on ebay 15 miles from home I can buy for $199 and not have to ship. Suggestions please auction is over in 4 hours.

It would probably cost you as much to powder coat them as it would to buy the ones on eBay...
you always have the option to sell the ones you have on now...
Bottom line... get what you want, what makes you happy... you already know you like the blacked out look... so your only real question is what kind of quality do you want on there... when the paint chips and rusts do you want to have to keep touching it up... or do you want something that can be waxed and stay looking nicer, longer.

RE: powder coating or buy new
Just bought mine for $250 w/s&h incl. It came with a smooth powder coating finish. I like it, as it contrast the Line-X and the factory plastic. Pic's are soon coming, I doing a couple other things first and will be posting pic's on Wed. I wasn't going to do right away but I was motivated by the ROTM nod.
The one I think you are looking at also has a smooth finish (Paint like) and I am not sure that is what you want. Ever consider painting with Rustolium Hammered metal paint. Check out my wheels in my Photo Album.

I decided since I already have one it's good enough for me for now. That money can go towards something else. WhatI really want is to find a SMA guard. So I will spend the money on either an Volant intake or possibly a light bar from Moosenubs Inc.
