Default Playing MP3 Audio

Hi,

I just received a new H3. Everything works fine except for the MP3 music.

I have tried burning a few MP3 files with a Mac (using Toast) and PC (using Nero).
When I insert the data CD it simply does not play.

My H3´s Audio System has the 6 CD capability and in the owners manual it
says that the MP3 playing is available.

Any help would be appreciated before I have to return to the dealer.

Arturo.

I burned a few on my PC and they play fine. I have the single CD player. Will your cd's play in another player?

There are 3 systems available for the H3... A 6 CD changer, a single CD player and a single CD player that also plays MP3's... The 6 disc system will not play them nor will the base model single CD player...

I have the 6 cd set up and it works with burnt CD-R's. I use Nero and a CD-R and all is fine.

Because it plays cd-r's doesnt make it an mp3 player. In contrary to burned CD's with normal size music mp3's are compressed so the cd player needs to be able to 'unzip' them, if you will.

Step by Step for burning mp3 to CD-R using Nero.

Open up Nero smart start
pick CD and then Make Audio CD
press ADD then pick out your MP3 files (unzipped files)
then press ADD when all files are picked out then press Finished
Now you can move MP3s in the order you want
Now press Next
Name the Title of CD and Artist
and then Burn.

Now you are all done.

I found if you use the black CD's(Memorex), they will play in any player. FYI.

When using Nero and choosing Make Audio CD Nero converts the MP3's to wma's which will play on the 6 disc unit

What he is looking for is a disc player specifically to play MP3 because you can place approximately 130-150 MP3 songs on 1 single disc... The H3 is offered with one as an option but the 6 disc changer system ain't it...
