Mark........

Unfortunately, may is correct, and we don't have a firm date in may.
The "repair" may consist of a cover to go over the gap in the rail that
shows the crack.... or it may be new rails, I have heard both are being
examined.

Pretty much the same conversation on another Hummer forum...

Crack repair

The new side rails, along with new designed A-pillar moldings (for a better fit) will be available starting sometime in May. GM had to change suppliers.

That's Good News! Is it going to be that all the parts you mentioned, cracked or not will be replaced?
My dealer as of the middle of last week hadn't heard anything yet...What is your source of information on this issue ?

Thanks

Cracked ones will be replaced first, but I would guess if you complained the dealer would repair those that aren't cracked. The new A-pillar moldings are due to the fact, most are not fitted correctly at this time. Mine are terrible, but if that is all that goes wrong, I'll be happy.
Truse me, the source of my information is quite good....

No joke there Mark..I don't want no damn band-aid either...I'm going to insist on getting the both top rails and front "A" pillers replaced...What I actually get will depend on where I take the service manager for dinner.[sm=alcoholic.gif]
