Default places to go offroading

I am looking for places in South East Michigan to go offroading. I Have been to the mounds in Mt Morris, and Silver Lake Sand Dunes, but I am hoping something closer to home.

Howdy. There was an old vacant gravel pit areanearMemphis....close to the Macomb and St. Clair County boarder just in to St. Clair, but I have not been up that way in years. I will be making an afternoon trip to the Mounds with another member here before the end of the year, and when we decide to do it we will post up an invite.

Unfortunately, in suburbia...we just have to drive a ways to get some good wheeling.

Welcome to the forums!!!

One of the great things about Sourthern California is the Huge choice of offroading spots. Within a few hours you can go wheeling on the beach, Glamis sand dunes, the desert or the mountains.

There is lots of good wheeling in MI, just a matter of how far you want to drive. I think leasedalpha just wanted to know if there is anywhere close by Detroit. Tainter has a good list.

Good wheeling in the northern lower, even more in the UP if you are willing to **** it that fat. [&o]
