Default Picture Of Fuel Cap Bezel Cover Removed?

Who has a photo the fuel filler plastic bezel cover removed showing the clips? I tried many times to get the dang thing off and it just does not want to come off ---pulling at the bezel at the clips (effort here to put a new fuel door on). I see looking underneath looking up the fender there are threes clips but not sure exactly how the cover goes on these clips. I tried hammering a bar on the bezel cover inside the fender but that did not work either....any help appreciated.

There was an old thread on how to install fuel door with photos but the link in the thread does not work any longer.

What I am doing is taking the stock cover off one hummer and removing the fuel door cover off another, and swapping them (leases)...unsuccessfully so far.

Default Fuel cap bezel

Remove the fuel cap, then pull the bezel out. You may need to squeeze the clips from the inside of the fender.

Bob...is that what you do? Squeeze them? They look like "U" shape under the fender. Tough to reach but may be possible. Need to be on a lift to make it easier.

Take the cap of first. Should be able to pry it of with just your fingers as you work around it.

Very cool! Thanks! Mine is sure on tight----I'm afraid to pull on it hard in these cold temps! Wonder if I can tap it out from under? I can see a couple of the clips.

Be carefull, it will probably be easy to crack the fender if it's real cold. From the outside, put your fingers over where one of the clips are located, push down (toward the ground) as you pull out on the bezel. As you get one or two disengaged, the rest will be easy. Yours may have double sided tape holding it on. If it does, it isn't going to be easy.
