pedal brake disabled
Hi,
My H3 2007 runs fine, but when i use the pedal brake it goes wrong.
When i leave a parking spot and disable the pedal brake, and drive backwards, i feel the car holding back and making a screaming, grinding noise. i went to the garage and they said to me that when i use the pedal brake and disable it, the brakes are not fully disabled. when driving forwards a little bump in the road cleares the problem.
They said that the front cable of the pedal brake does not work properly so the brakes stay on a bit.
Now they haven loosened the cable a bit and the problem of the noise is gone. But i have no pedal brake no more or i have to get a new cable.
Does someone know the part number of the cable or how to get it on internet?
Thanks,
K.

Contact Brodie at Ridgedemon.com he does international shipping... And should be able to get you the part(s) you need...
The cable isn't crimped or clamped by anything is it? Do you have running boards/nerf bars/ side steps on your H3?
It's easy to check, the cable runs down the outside frame rail/ rocker panel on the drivers side, an offey aftermarket step could be the culprit, but prob not...

The emergency brake on my H3 tends to stick as well. I find it mostly happens after offroading or driving in the rain when dirt and grime gets into the cables and mechanism. I spray WD40 on the cables under the door where the cables go back into the conduit and also at the rear wheels if that didn't get all of the stiction out. I know I should get a cable luber and properly lube the entire cable, but it works for now until the WD40 evaporates back out and I have to do it again.

You can also look for the part on gmpartsdirect.com. You can choose catalog at the top right of the page and then agree on the next. This will allow you to search for the part for you vehicle. Please feel free to keep me posted regarding the fix. Thank you.
