This has been going on for awhile now, on and off. http://www.millersmiles.co.uk/identi...email-hoax.htm

Don't EVER give account information out over email. I bank with Bank of America and Chase Bank, they have had similar problems lately. Their advice, if you ever receive one of these emails YOU should go the source (your bank or paypal site itself) and contact them to see if it is in fact from them. They have said that they will NEVER ask for information that way.

Also if you click a link from email to sign into your paypal account make sure that the address bar is actually to the paypal domain and not another one... This scam is called Phishing where they set upa websito to immitate paypal exactly and when you log in they will redirect you to paypal yet logging your password etc. If you do end up becominga victom of this and realizing soon enough then please change your password immediately before they do so for you.

Anytime I get something that says it is from Ebay or Paypal I go straight to the site to see if it is there also. I only answer Ebay messages from my Ebay account. It is a shame that we have to be on guard for crap like this.

There are some real industrious people out there trying to steal your money. Imagine how successful they could probably be in a legitimate business.
