So I ended up having to write a check to my uncle this past weekend...who else got suckered into paying?

 

I always get to. Doesn't seem to matter how much I pay in during the year I always get to write that final check. And to think that some of our presidential candidates are proudly telling me that they are going to raise my taxes. Drives me crazy.

 

I finally did my taxes right... I owed $63 federal.... and got back $257 Jersey....

 

Braggart. LOL

I get to go see my accountant this Friday, only good thing is I get off work early. That is one great uncle, isn't he? Wish I could at least get a Christmas card from him. What are taxes like in Canada? Better or worse? I keep teasing everyone that I'm going to quit and move to Canada and the first thing they say is I will hate the taxes.

 

It depends how GOOD your accountant is!!

Well it looks like I gave my good old uncle sam an interest free loan last year and he will need to pay me back. I hate overpaying, I know most people like to get a refund, but I hate when I get a refund. My uncle must really love me for giving him so much.
