Default Passenger Heated Seat Switch

Hello Everyone,

I have a 2010 Alpha.

Over the weekend I went to turn on the heated seat for my girlfriend and noticed that the light did not come on when I selected low or high.

Should it not have lit up like the driver one does?

I have 3700 miles on her and just noticed this.

Maybe a trip to the dealer.

thanks.

Was someone sitting in the seat when you tried the switch? It has a pressure sensor and won't activate without a passenger.

I'm not 100% sure but in addition to someone being in the seat, the seat belt may have to be buckled.

I went through this also and you are correct. The seatbelt must be buckled before the heated seat will work.

That is correct. Sensor is not needed on the driver's side because there's always going to be someone in that seat when the car is running to be able to detect that the warmer is active.
