Painted rims, how are they holding up??
Tried to get black, steel simulated beadlocks today, but they rubbed the front calipers, now back to 1st base. Those of you with painted stock rims, how is the paint holding up? I'm thinking plan B would be painting the centers with a silver outer lip...

RE: Painted rims, how are they holding up??
My friend powder coated his wheels in black about 2 years ago and so far no cracks or chips..(They were 20" chromes). Still looks fresh painted. The problem is they aren't that cheap...about $90-$120 per wheel (around my town...Orange County/CA...if anyone knows cheaper place, drop me a line).
Anyways...as long as they properly sandblast/powder coat/bake them at right temp, paint should hold up fine.

I found a place in AZ they charge 40.00 a rim, I'm coating my second set of wheels and I currently have my 4 wheelin rims rattle canned black with Rustoleum Hammerhead finish, they have actually held up really well, they only time the paint comes off is when I hit the rim on a rock.
