Ok guys, I am new to the Hummer world and I bought my H3 used from a Houston Hummer Dealership. I would like to know if I got a good deal and what kind of package I got, because it all happened so fast.

I went in wanting to trade my FJfor a H3 and wanted to pay not much above my trade-in. All I asked was for a H3 in black, with leather and sunroof.The sales guy said they didn't have any in my price range at the time, so I would have to wait for the dealership to get a steal of a trade-in.LOLAlmost a month later I got a call saying they just got something in I would like, so I headedto the dealershipwith the FJ.

I got to the dealership tosee the H3 they just got on trade and thought it was way out of my price range and they were pulling a fast one on me. This H3 had more options than I ever asked for....

Good Deal or Not:
2006 Black H3, 7,000 miles, Automatic, Black Leather, Sunroof, Heated Seats, Adventure Package, Chrome "Hummer" Wheels, Touch Screen Navigation, Chrome Grill Guard, Rock Rails (with removable steps), AuxRoof Lights, Chrome"Hummer" letter inserts on the front bumper,Chrome Side Marker Covers, Crome Handles, Chrome Tow Shackles,LuggageRails with chrome letters, Rear Chrome Light covers, Tow package, and who knows what else.....thats all I can think of..Not sure if the have Luxury package and adventure package together, but it seems like both options????? I am a good ol country girl and anymore chrome would of been too much!

H3 Price: $31,600 (7,000 miles) EXCELLENT CONDITION.. looks like no one drove it.
FJ Trade in: $26,000 (25,000 miles)
Ot of pocket Difference: $5,600

Just wanted to know if it was a good deal because I was looking to spend only $2,000 out of pocket.

 

sounds like a good deal but you need to include pics and a reason why you like the h3 better than the fj we will all be curious. i have the same h3 as yours pretty much it sounds like.

I don't have any of the inside, but here are a couple I took at the Frio River. Is there a Luxury Package and Adventure Package combo?

I like the 4 doors of the H3, luxury feel, extra room in backseat, puch button 4X4. They FJ drove well and had good pick up, but felt plastic like inside. ( Wish I would of bought the H3 first.

that looks very good and yes you can have lux and adventure thats what i have do you have a button on the dash to lock the rear differential into posi trac if you have that then you have the adventure package also how come your one tow hook is sticking out were you pulling outyour sisters fj

I figure whoever CUSTOM(had to have been)ordered it had a LUX package and ADDED the Adventure Package!!

Sounds like a very good deal. Also sounds like you did get the Lux package plus the Adv. package. The Lux gives you the leather heated seats, etc. The Adv. gives you slightly larger tires and fully locking diff. for off-road. The sunroof and Nav systemareseperate options. So, as mentioned above it definitely sounds like a custom order. My bet is the previous owner couldn't resist the 2008 H3 Alpha and gave them his trade for a song.

The 2006 came with the 3.5L Inline 5 engine. In 2007 they upgraded to a 3.7L Inline 5. In 2008 they added the H3 Alpha with a 5.3L V8.

Edmunds.com lists your H3 between $28,800 and 33,155. But a deal is relative, if you like it and you didn't get ripped off then it's a deal.

 

Thanks for all the great info... I was wondering why I didn't see many with both options and if it was a "custom" feature.LOL... that was funny about the tow hook.. I did pull a Nissanpickup out of the mud and thats why it was sticking out.
