Most guys really like the stacked plate style coolers. Go to Summit's site and see what they have available. They should have a tech line if you need to ask some questions too.

There is a little book in the dash that on page 4-60 says do not tow at all the first 500 miles. You stated you had 600 so you were close. Then during the first 500 after that don't tow over 50. Have you tried pulling in third? I had my ECM programmed to include positive shifts and better pulling power by hanging on to lower gears longer. Other wise on even gradual inclines it would shift down and hit passing gear just to maintain speed. It never ran hot though.
The boat weighs 1700 the white trailer is 3500 and the lift is 3000.
